A dedication
While you were protesting anti-immigrant H.R. 4437 downtown Los Angeles Saturday, I was helping dedicate a plaque at First and Vermont. You see, it's a plaque to commemorate the site of the little studio where the American inserts for GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS were filmed.
You see, the Clampers (E. Vitus Clamper) presented the plaque (to be installed later) to the Belmont Elementary school. You see, this will help the children understand that there is a history in Los Angeles, even though all the old building must be demolished.
You see, I was asked to present a brief tribute to Akira Ifukube, the composer of Godzilla's music so naturally I gave a treatise on the socio-politcal atmosphere of mid-century U.S.A. at the time of the Americanization of the original Japanese film.
Are you beginning to see?
NO? Well, you may see pictures herehttp://www.vinylmaddness.com/Plaque.html
